CorrOcean ASA has reached an agreement to acquire HMC-Corlab bv with retrospectrive legislation on the 1st of January 2001. CorrOcean employs nearly 250 people and has offices in Trondheim, Oslo, Aberdeen, Rio de Janeiro, Calgary, Houston, Kuala Lumpur, Rome, Perth and since 1st of January in Leiden. Services and Products of CorrOcean bv and CorrOcean ASA include corrosion engineering, failure analysis, cathodic protection design, risk analysis and risk management, advanced inspections(smart pigging, flexible riser monitoring, etc.), corrosion monitoring with probes, sand monitoring, field signature method (non intrusive monitoring) and development of alloy and fluid analysers for field use.
